Donny King, CSCS
President & Founder

Since founding WelCo Health Solutions, LLC in 2004, Donny King has served as the company’s President and Chief Wellness Officer. In this role, he sets the company’s strategic direction, ensures the effectiveness of wellness programs, identifies and implements new trends in wellness delivery, ensures client satisfaction and manages day-to-day operations.

As a professional personal trainer, consultant and presenter, Donny has been providing health and fitness management and consulting services to commercial facilities, corporations and private clients since 1991. Having earned a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Health from The University of Texas at San Antonio, Donny is also a National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).

Assistant Health & Fitness Coordinator

The Assistant Wellness Coordinator is responsible for worksite day to day operations, leadership and direction for overall programming. Additional responsibilities include implementing and maintaining marketing/promotion efforts including: flyers, posters, electronic mailings and membership brochures; assist in staff development and leadership; lead group exercise classes; personal train; administer fitness assessments and design personal exercise prescriptions and ensuring that excellent customer service is provided to all participants.


Requirements for this position include a bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related discipline, First Aid/CPR/AED certifications and personal training certification (ACSM/NASM or NSCA) required. Group exercise instruction experience and certification preferred. The successful candidate will also be self-motivated, creative, possess strong interpersonal skills, and is always customer focused.

Part Time Health & Fitness Specialist -

The Health & Fitness Specialist is an integral role in the success of our worksite wellness centers. The Health & Fitness Specialist position provides exercise floor supervision, interacts with members and program participants, and delivers health and fitness programs and services. This role is responsible for providing outstanding service to members & program participants to maximize participation, outcomes and customer satisfaction. The main responsibilities for this position include:

  • Supervising and monitoring exercise participants.
  • Performing fitness assessments, determining exercise prescriptions, and designing workout programs for a diverse population, including a variety of high risk clientele.
  • Providing one-on-one consulting, training and motivation.
  • Design & Implementation of incentive, health promotion, and other specialty programs.
  • Instruction of group exercise classes.
  • Performing administrative tasks associated with facility operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualified applicants will have a bachelor degree in a health/fitness field of study. CPR and First Aid certifications, excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are required. Experience teaching group exercise is desired but not required. Candidates must demonstrate the willingness to learn how to teach exercise classes. Local candidates desired. Relocation not offered for this position.
